Sonora, CA — A freeze warning is in effect until 9:00am today in the Mother Lode.
The National Weather Service says another cold system is moving in from Canada today and into Northern California Friday.
Snow showers are expected in the lower elevations tonight through Saturday night. Elevations above 1,000 feet will see scattered snow showers and the coldest weather of the year.
Snow flurries are even possible in Modesto and Stockton early Friday. A warming trend is possible by Sunday as the low pressure lifts away to the east.
