Drinking And Driving Leads To Major Injuries And DUI Charges

Sponsored by:

San Andreas, CA — A Mountain Ranch woman is being treated for major injuries and an Altaville woman is facing felony charges after a three-vehicle accident Thursday.

The California Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Kimberly Peters was traveling on Mountain Ranch Road at 50 MPH when she encountered another car traveling at 25 MPH due to a slow moving wide load in front of it.

Due to Peters´ state of intoxication reports indicate she did not notice the slow moving vehicle and swerved to the left, clipping the car in front of her.

Peters then continued into the oncoming lane and hit the vehicle that 77-year-old Richard Doolan and his 72-year-old wife Mary were in, head on.

Mary was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. Peters was arrested for Felony DUI.
