Plans In Place To Expand Murphys Hotel

Murphys, CA — The Murphys hotel will be undergoing some changes according to organizers.

A site development plan was unveiled to the Chamber of Commerce and the Murphys Business Association and now the developer is asking for community feedback.

There are 4 acres behind the historic Hotel that are non revenue producing, so an architectural firm has drawn up plans for a new hotel, restaurant, and cottage complex with a courtyard in the middle and some retail/art gallery space along Main Street.

The old historic hotel will keep its place on the National Register of Historic Places, but a new restaurant with an exhibition kitchen will be built facing Main Street.
