Community Shows Support For Boy Scouts
Sonora, CA — More than 50 Boy Scout supporters were up early for the annual Friends of Scouting fundraiser this morning.
Breakfast was served at 7:00am followed by an auction and a power packed speech from the keynote speaker Bubba Paris.
The former All-Pro tackle for the San Francisco 49ers said, “The Scouts helped me discover that I could accomplish anything and I am happy to give back to the organization that gave me so much.”
I am happy to give back to the organization that gave me so much.
Tuolumne County Supervisor and Breakfast Chair Dick Pland says that Scouting is a great program and that the breakfast was a way to give recognition to the Boy Scout movement in the county.
Organizers say the money collected at the event will support local Scouting programs and create a heightened awareness of Scouting as a positive program for youth in the community.
