Oakdale Officals Consider Expansion
Oakdale, CA — City officials in Oakdale are considering a plan that would increase the town´s size by about 200 acres.
The East “F” Street Specific Plan would move the eastern city limit closer to the foothills, widen Highway 108-120 and add landscaping and walking trails.
The plan calls for the zoning of residential and commercial property on 24 acres along the highway.
In addition, about one-fourth of the annexed area would be zoned for low density housing, 21 acres would be zoned for medium density and about 12 acres would be zoned for high density units. Developers estimate that the project could add around 280 homes to the city.
The plan would also include construction of several new roads in the area. It goes before the city council tomorrow.
