TGH Trustees Agree To Recommend Keeping Hospital As Is
Sonora, CA — Tuolumne General Hospital trustees plan on recommending to keep the hospital open and continue to offer all of its services to the Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
In a meeting Thursday, the trustees agreed that the hospital should continue as a full service hospital, despite the financial debt shown in the Lewin Group´s Report.
The trustees were faced with choosing between three options laid out by the Lewin Group; keeping the hospital running as it is, operating it as a non-acute facility, or closing it completely.
At the board meeting Tuesday the trustees will present their recommendation, followed by an informal public hearing.
