Sonora, Ca — The Christmas spirit was alive Monday afternoon at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
It was the site of the annual Tuolumne County Community Christmas Eve Dinner. Organizer Cathie Peacock says it is the volunteers that make the event the success it is. The event ran from noon until six at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
Also, coming up today, a free Christmas dinner will be served at the Sonora Opera Hall from 3-5 pm. All are welcome. For more information call 770-0536.
Murphys Friends will serve dinner at the Native Sons Hall from 1-3pm. The event will include turkey and all the trimmings, carriage rides, story telling, caroling and even Santa Claus. For more information call 736-6177.
