Sonora, CA — There may be no other event like it in the world … certainly not in the Mother Lode.
That´s the Mut´s Bean Feed which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this week with its annual feed at the corner of Washington Street and Lionberg in historic downtown Sonora.
This year Galen Mutzner admitted that he has more volunteers than he really needs, but he added he´ll find some kind of a job for all of them.
Beans, rolls and lemonade await the crowd of Tuolumne County residents are lining the west sidewalk of Washington waiting patiently for their turn to be handed the day´s goodies.
Following the noon Bean Feed Courthouse Park will host the 28th Pop Hudson Memorial Christmas Sing which starts at 12:45. Participants include all the local law enforcement agencies, Sonora Regional Medical Center, Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Office, Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, City of Sonora, Stanislaus National Forest, Mountain Women´s Resource Center, Area 12 On Aging, VNA Hospice and a host of other agencies and groups.
