Angels Camp Selects New Police Chief
Angels Camp, Ca — 49-year-old Dale Mendenhall has been selected to become the next Angels Camp Police Chief.
Mendenhall previously spent 28 years with the Delano, CA Police Department in the San Joaquin Valley. He was approved by the City Council Tuesday night. He will now negotiate a contract with City Administrator Tim Shearer.
Mendenhall applied for the position the same day he learned of the opening. He added he´s glad the wait is over because he has been on “pins and needles” ever since he applied because this was the job he really wanted. The application process took well over two months to complete.
The soon to be married Mendenhall will replace outgoing Chief Tony Tacheria who has spent the last six years in Angels Camp.
The other two un-named finalists for the job hailed from Oakland and Turlock.
