Family-To-Family Provides Christmas Joy To Those In Need
Sonora, Ca — The spirit of the season is alive and on display with the 21st annual Family-To-Family Christmas Project.
Early this morning, volunteers arrived at Benites Distributing to pack boxes with food and toys and then loaded them into patrol cars from the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department, Sonora Police Department and California Highway Patrol.
The cars were then sent out to distribute the boxes to over 800 Tuolumne County residents, including 515 children.
“It is great how everyone in Tuolumne County cares about each other,” says Coordinator Lisa Westbrook of Clarke Broadcasting.
“We really couldn´t do it without everyone pitching in. It is a huge effort to try and get toys for 515 kids, and I was thrilled that everyone was accounted for.”
This year Clarke Broadcasting partnered with Bank of America, the U.S. Forest Service, Benites Distributing and the law enforcement personnel to make the project another success.
