Sponsored by:

Sonora, Ca — 19-year-old Groveland residents Grace Elizabeth Carder and Nicholas Jordan Fereria are next scheduled to appear in court on February 8th.

This afternoon a judge scheduled preliminary hearings for 8:15am in Department Three of Tuolumne County Superior Court. Carder pleaded not guilty. She could face a maximum term of four years in state prison although this is her first offense.

This past summer, Carder allegedly supplied 19-year-old Clinton Holt with methodone she had stolen from a cancer patient. Holt later died from an overdose of the drug.

Carder is charged with petty theft, possession of a controlled substance and supplying a controlled substance to another individual.

Fereria charged with possession of a controlled substance. He also pleaded not guilty.
