Countdown Continues For Gaskill’s Departure

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Only 20 days remain in Rob Gaskill´s tenure as Sonora Union High School´s superintendent.

Effective the first of the year Gaskill will take a similar position with the Cabrillo Union High School District on the coast.

Board of Trustees President Dr. Ed Clinite says Gaskill will definitiely be missed. “In his seven and a half years on the job, he has mended a number of fences, been a positive face for the district, changed the way in which education is provided for the students and he´s been instrumental in creating the Middle College program with Columbia College. In addition he´s always looking for ways in which students can continue their education and be prepared for the next step in life.”

The Board has hired Leadership Associates to identify a field of candidates that would be acceptable to the community. Clinite adds that any segment of the community that is touched by the educational process will be contacted in this full scale effort to select the perfect individual for the job.”

Clinite would like to have the new superintendent on board as early as March and certainly no later than June.
