ALL MOTHER LODE PASSES CLOSED

Stockton, CA — Caltrans has announced the closure of Sonora Pass (Hwy 108) due to snow.
Earlier this week Caltrans had closed Ebbetts Pass (Hwy 4). In addition Tioga Pass (Hwy 120) is also closed.
The National Weather Service´s “winter storm warning” is in effect for the upper elevations of the Sierra Nevada. Periods of heavy snow are possible this evening and into Friday morning between 45-hundred and 6,000 feet. Rain is expected in the lower elevations.
This system is expected to vacate the Mother Lode region by Friday afternoon.
