Jackson, CA — More details are coming to light regarding the death of a 75 year old Stockton man in the multi-vehicle accident on Hwy 88 in Amador County Sunday evening.

According to the Amador County Sheriff´s Department and the Stockton Record James William White has been identified as the deceased and the followup investigation is indicating he was not, as originally reported, the cause of the accident that involved a tour bus returning to San Francisco from the Jackson Rancheria Casino.

Apparently an eastbound Honda Pilot, driven by 63 year old Yonn Moeun of Stockton, spun out of control when it sideswiped the westbound bus. The bus crossed into the eastbound lane where it collided headon with White´s 2008 Dodge truck.

Exclusive of White more than a dozen people suffered minor to major injuries. Several had to be airlifted to nearby hospitals. Hwy 88 was closed for seven-and-a-half hours finally reopening at 2am Monday.
