Prep Football’s “Second Season” Opens Friday
Sonora, CA — Three Mother Lode region high schools have qualified for “second season” football action this coming Friday.
The 6-4 Sonora High Wildcats will travel to Rocklin for a 7:30 matchup with the 9-1 Whitney Wildcats. The STAR 92.7 broadcast will get underway at 7:10 with the pregame show. Kickoff is set for 7:30. Should the Wildcats win they would face the winner of the Manteca-Foothill game.
8-2 Calaveras will host 7-3 Modesto Christian. The Redskins own a five game winning streak coming off their 10-0 Friday evening victory over arch rival Bret Harte. If the Redskins win they would pay the Hughson-Central Catholic matchup.
Speaking of the 5-5 Bullfrogs, they will travel to 9-1 Escalon. Should the Bullfrogs pull off an upset they would face off against the winner of the Patterson-Argonaut game.
