Angels Camp Making Progress In Search For New Police Chief

Angels Camp, Ca — Approximately 30 have applied for the position of Angels Camp Police Chief, and retiring Chief Tony Tacheira says the list has been narrowed down to three.
“Within the next day or so, we will have the final interviews,” says Tacheira. “Following those, we should at least know who the number one candidate is.”
At that point there will be contract negotiations, a final background check and eventually a recommendation will be made to the City Council.
Tacheira says a vote by the City Council will most likely come during the first week of December.
