Trinitas Golf Course Will Be Studied Under Environmental Review
San Andreas, CA – The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors decided Tuesday that the environmental review on the Ridge at Trinitas project will include the existing golf course.
The golf course was built prior to the developer applying to the county to build a lodge and 13-home gated community.
Subsequently the Environmental Impact Report currently underway did not include the golf course.
The board took testimony from several residents in the area claiming that they are experiencing water deficiencies due to the irrigating of the golf course.
This along with other concerns such as traffic will now be addressed in an amended or supplemental EIR.
The vote to include the golf course in the review passed 3-2 with Supervisors Bill Claudino and Russ Thomas in opposition.
