Award & Recognition Time For Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department

Sonora, CA — Sheriff Jim Mele spent a portion of his Friday afternoon recognizing 19 department members for years servied.

Reaching the 25 year level was Del Chase.

Robert Bogolea, Keith Lunney and George Ruckman were honored for their 20 years of service.

15 year recognition awards went to Ken Diaz, Kevin Dills, Pat Griswold and Robin Hunt.

Celebrating 10 years was Mark Kerzich.

Five year recognitions went to Rita Brown, Max Cannon, Kerry Carroll, Richard Champlin, Muriel Dutch, Leighann Eastman, Neil Evans, Oliver Imlach, Jarrod Pippin and Troy Silva.

Mele also recognized Bill Burr, Kelvin Moses and Alex Rivera who, by the use of C.P.R., saved the life of a individual who suffered a heart attack after he had been arrested in his home.

Four citizens were also honored: John Wright for observing a suspicious device which turned out to be a pipe bomb, Bill Lane for assisting in a vegetation fire and the same for Bill and Patricia Loring.
