Rare Sports Car Takes “Best Of Show” At Ironstone Concours d’Elegance
Murphys, Ca — A rare 1953 Nash-Healey took the “Best of Show” honors at the 11th annual Ironstone Concours d´Elegance.
Only 100 Nash-Healey´s were produced in 1953, and they had a sticker price of around $6,000. Donny Lewis of Lodi are the owners of the classic automobile.
“We just finished it,” says Lewis. “This is the first time it has been in a show.”
The car was purchased 18 years ago, and has gone through a comprehensive restoration. This included re-painting the car its original gray color, a color that Lewis says was very rare for a Nash-Healey.
Scattered rainfall throughout the afternoon did not seem to dampen the mood of the car enthusiasts on hand.
Proceeds from the event benefit local 4-H and FFA programs as well as fund youth scholarships.
