Jamestown, CA — The Sonora area office of the Highway Patrol has identified Herondina Pinherosias as the driver of the vehicle that caused an accident on Hwy 120 and Sims Rd. Monday afternoon.

According to Officer Tom Wills, Clement Cope was driving eastbound on Hwy 120 when Pinherosias, due to her extreme intoxication, pulled into the intersection causing the collision. Cope reportedly had no time to react.

He suffered a broken arm and several other injuries while Amber Foster, a passenger in the Pinherosias vehicle, suffered a possible punctured lung and other chest injuries. She was life-flighted to Doctors Hospital in Modesto.
