Sheriff Mele Makes Arrest Following Disturbance In Groveland
Groveland, Ca — This morning the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department received a report of individuals drinking alcohol and possibly dealing drugs in the Mary Laveroni Park in Groveland.
There were no patrol units currently available, so Sheriff Jim Mele got into a patrol car and responded from the main office. When Mele arrived, he was met by several subjects.
Mele checked five of them for active warrants (all were clear) and determined that 40-year-old John Eastman of Big Oak Flat was too intoxicated to care for himself. Mele arrested Eastman for public intoxication and transported him to county jail.
