Santa Clara County Lick Fire Continues To Grow

Santa Clara County, CA — The Lick Fire in Henry Coe State Park near Mt. Hamilton has now grown to 10,000 acres with only 20 percent containment.

As of 8:30 Tuesday evening 1,300 firefighters were on the lines with seven CAL FIRE air tankers, eight helicopters, 155 engines, 15 water tenders and 24 dozers. Local camp grounds and trails have been evacuated.

Cost of the fire, which started Monday afternoon at 1:45, now stands at $582,000.

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
