Asia Davis Reigns Supreme In Sacramento

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — She came out Number One at the Mother Lode Fair and now she´s Number One in the entire state.

She´s 20 year old Asia Davis of Columbia who captured the Calfornia Idol Star competition in Sacramento last week. Davis said she was so nervous she was shaking in her boots, but then she admitted, “I wasn´t wearing boots, I was wearing high heels.”

Davis sang what she thought was a low key number entitled “Trouble.” Her competition came from three “boys” who all sang country. When it came time to announce the winner it was number 11. Asia looked down at her contestant number and quickly realized she was number 11 and the winner.

In addition to a $1,000 check, Asia will now move onto national competition. The dates and location of that competition have not yet been determined.

The soon-to-be 21 year old, who was born in San Francisco, is a business major at Columbia College, but she is the first to admit that “music is my passion.”
