Three Columbia Area Residents Arrested In Twain Harte

Sonora, CA — With an assist from the CHP, the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department arrested three Columbia area residents early Saturday morning in Twain Harte.

25 year old Kevin Lewis Sovereen of 172 Columbia Way was driving erratically on Twain Harte Drive at 2am. He was stopped and arrested when it was determined he was under the influence of narcotics. Sovereen has been released on his promise to appear.

21 year old Charlotte Nicole Alvitre Dickson, also of 172 Columbia Way, was one of two passengers in the car. She was also arrested for possesssion and being under the influence. She remains in custody on $10,000 bail.

47 year old Jay Alan Nichols was booked on $20,000 bail for possession of narcotics, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer causing injury. Nichols had to be tasered at the site of the arrest.

The narcotics recovered from the vehicle were identified as methadone pills.
