Sonora, Ca — 13,404 marijuana plants were found by law enforcement in an isolated area in Tuolumne County today.
The plants were located near Jawbone Creek off Forrest Service Road 3NO1. According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department, the plants were five to six feet tall and just starting to mature.
The department believes that suspects were in the garden earlier this morning because they found cooked food that was still warm. No suspects, however, were located.
In 2007, 81,485 plants have been eradicated in Tuolumne County.
