C.H.P. Nabs Only One D.U.I. At Saturday Checkpoint

Jamestown, CA — Only one driver, determined to be under-the-influence, was arrested by the C.H.P. Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.

Officer Tom Wills says over 1,100 vehicles passed through the Hwy 108 and Fifth Ave. checkpoint between 8pm and 2am.

Assisted by the Sonora Police Department, the two agencies administered 10 sobriety field tests, arrested that one driver for being under-the-influence, impounded five vehicles and issued 12 citations for driver´s license infractions.
