Tuolumne Resident Arrested For Animal Cruelty

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — How does it feel to be tasered? You could ask 54 year old Dale Louis Cate of Tuolumne, but you would have to visit him in the Tuolumne County Jail for the answer.

Cate was tasered by Sheriff´s deputies early Friday evening for beating his dog with a blunt instrument. Witnesses described Cate as waving a sword, throwing wood and a broken chair toward a neighbor´s home.

The dog was turned over to animal control with undetermined injuries.

Cate remains jailed on $30,000 bail for animal cruelty, resisting arrest and a vandalism warrant.

On Wednesday of last week Cate was arrested for repeatedly abusing the 911 emergency call system by constantly calling that number.
