Sonora, Ca — While the name of the individual who died as the result of a solo vehicle accident on J-59 this afternoon has not been released by the County Coroner, the CHP reports that the victim was 50 years old, from Coulterville, and driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500.
CHP Officer Sam Glucklich says the driver was traveling southbound, and for unknown reasons lost control and drove into a dirt embankment which caused the vehicle to overturn.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Glucklich says that it is possible that alcohol was a contributing factor, however, blood-alcohol concentration test results are not available at this time.
