Strawberry, Ca — CAL Fire is helping to put out a vegetation fire that has broken out in the Niagara Creek Campgrounds area of the Stanislaus National Forest.
The fire´s location is off of Hwy 108, two miles southeast of Donnell Lake. It is approximately 15 acres in size. Park Spokesperson Jerry Snyder says a cabin on forest land started on fire, and it spread to nearby vegetation.
Two Forest Service engines and a water tender were immediately dispatched, and CAL Fire engines and helicopters have now joined in the effort.
