Former Athletics-Giants Outfielder Arrested In Angels Camp
Angels Camp, Ca — Darren Lewis, who played for both the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants in the early 1990´s, was arrested in Angels Camp this week for public intoxication.
According to Police Chief Tony Tacheira, officers were dispatched to a restaraunt at the Greenhorn Creek Resort because of a disturbance. Shortly after arriving on scene, Lewis was cited for public intoxication and transported to Calaveras County Jail.
The case has been turned over to the District Attorney´s Office. Lewis, 39, resides in the Bay Area. He spent 1990 with the Oakland Athletics, and 1991-95 with the San Francisco Giants.
