Monday Morning West Point Area Structure Fire

San Andreas, CA — At 1:33 this morning the CAL FIRE Emergency Command Center received a report of a barn fire on Centennial Mine Rd. in the West Point area.
According to Communications Operator May Jo Boone, when crews arrived they discovered it was a garage. There was a brief extension of the fire to the wildland, but that was quickly extinguished.
Three state and two local engines responded along with one local water tender. While crews remain on site, some of the firefighters have already been released from the scene.
