Alturas Woman In Critical Condition Following Hwy 108 Accident

Jamestown, CA — 44 year old Debbie Baugh of Alturas suffered severe injuries when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was involved in a headon crash Thursday afternoon at four o´clock on Hwy 108 just west of Herring Creek Rd.

Baugh was in a 1991 Chevy Suburban driven by 44 year old Gerald Lewis Jones also of Alturas. Their vehicle was westbound when it was hit by a 1989 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by 27 year old John Matthew Barnum of Jamestown.

According to the Highway Patrol report Barnum´s eastbound vehicle crossed over the center line directly into the path of the Jones´ vehicle causing the headon collision.

Baugh is listed in critical condition at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. No other injuries were reported.

All those involved in the accident were wearing safety restraint belts.

Tuolumne County Ambulance and the Tuolumne County Fire Department assisted.
