Sonora Waste Management Drivers Honoring Picket Line

Sonora, CA — Don´t hold your breath for your garbage to be picked up today.
That´s the word from Armando Alonzo of Teamsters Local 439. His local is currently honoring a picket line that has been established at the Sonora Waste Management facility on Camage Ave. by Local 70 from Stockton and Oakland.
500 Local 70 drivers were locked out by Waste Management July 2. They, in turn have extended their picket line to the Sonora area. Local 439, without a contract for the past four months, is honoring that picket line this morning.
