Fight Breaks Out Near Lake Tulloch

Sponsored by:

Copperopolis, Ca — A fight broke out near Lake Tulloch yesterday that ended with a 16 year old female suffering knife wounds.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department says details are sketchy, and some of the information is still being documented.

The Department reports that the female was at the lake with some friends, when a “gang” from Stockton showed up. All was well for a time, but then the two groups began to argue. The argument turned into a physical fight, and a heavy set male from Stockton, with a gap between his teeth, pulled out a knife. During the course of the fight, the female´s finger was injured by the knife.

When the fight ended, the group from Stockton left. In doing so, the Sheriff´s Department says they reportedly fired off a round, from possibly a shotgun.

The female and her friends stayed down by the rocks for approximately 40 minutes, reportedly tending to their injuries. When they walked up to their cars, they saw that someone had vandalized the female´s vehicle, smashing her windows and stealing her stereo.

No arrests have been made. The altercation was in the area near the bridge.
