S.R.M.C. Becomes Stand Alone Healthcare Provider In Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA — Effective Sunday, Sonora Regional Medical Center became the lone healthcare provider in Tuolumne County.

With the exception of the Skilled Nursing Facility and the Psych Unit which will remain at the newly renamed Tuolumne General Medical Facility, all other services have been assumed by S.R.M.C.

At the totally remodeled and renamed Forest Hills Health and Wellness Center off Forest Rd. across from the Mother Lode Fairgrounds, S.R.M.C. is housing a Prompt Care Unit which is open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week. Also housed in the Forest Rd. facility are the Dental Clinic to open Monday, July 9, the Primary Care Clinic and the Specialty Care Clinic.

The latter will include podiatry, ENT, general surgery, dermatology and pulmonology. The cardiac rehabilitation unit is not expected to open until August.
