Veteran’s Memorial Planned For San Andreas

San Andreas, CA — A memorial for veterans everywhere is planned for the Government Center in San Andreas.
Tuesday the Board of Supervisors approved the construction of the memorial as a Boy Scout Eagle Scout project.
County Administrative Officer Tom Mitchell, a local Boy Scout leader himself, says Eagle Scout candidate Drake Walker wishes to construct the memorial including two cannons formerly held at the San Andreas People´s Cemetery.
The goal is to dedicate the facility on Veterans Day in November.
