Two Saturday Crashes Result In Arrests

Sponsored by:

Mokelumne Hill, CA — 25-year old Brandon Thomas and 54-year old Kenneth Pecoraro were arrested Saturday after crashing their cars in two separate accidents in Calaveras County.

The CHP says Thomas of Valley Springs was driving on Highway 26 in Mokelumne Hill when, due to his extreme state of intoxication, he failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway. His vehicle went off the road and struck an oak tree. He was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for a chemical test and treatment of injuries to his foot. He was then booked into Calaveras County Jail for DUI.

Pecoraro of Stockton was on Murphys Grade Road when he entered a turn too fast and lost control. He bounced off the guardrail and came to rest in the middle of the road. He was placed under arrest but was released to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
