Sponsored by:

Jamestown, Ca — A Mariposa man crashed a Toyota SUV into the side of a Jamestown mobile home this afternoon.

Just before two o´clock, Robert Feister passed by Jamestown Elementary and was headed toward Railtown 1897 on 5th Ave.

“He was at a high rate of speed,” says CHP Officer Tom Wills. He entered a private driveway, and struck about a three foot embankment which launched him into the air. He traveled for about 45 feet in the air and came to a rest lodged in a mobile home across the way.”

The home is located at 10587 8th St. Wills says there is no reason to believe alcohol was involved. Initial indication is that Feister had a medical episode, as he was reportedly very incoherent at the scene.

Feister was taken by ambulance to Tuolumne General Hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Two residents were in the mobile home at the time of incident. The CHP says both reported minor injuries.
