Mother Lode Celebrates National Day Of Prayer
Sonora, CA — The National Day of Prayer will be celebrated this evening at seven o´clock at Courthouse Park in downtown Sonora.
Pastor Lauren Laumer of Sonora´s Christian Heights Assembly of God Church says the purpose of the 56th Annual National Day of Prayer is to, “Seek the Lord and bring healing to our land.”
Pastor Laumer added that the keynote verse for this year´s celebration is 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
During the noon hour today, Calaveras County celebrated the National Day of Prayer with a one hour prayer vigil at the Government Center in San Andreas.
