Teachers Honored At County Boards Of Trustees Dinner Meeting
Sonora, CA — 15 Tuolumne County teachers received Excellence in Teaching Awards Tuesday evening while two instructors were honored with Career Achievement Awards at the 2007 Tuolumne County Boards of Trustees Dinner Meeting at Sierra Bible Church.
Receiving Excellence in Teaching Awards: Tom Dibble; Summerville High, Nancy Dumas; Sonora High, Pat Epperly; County Schools Office, Kathi Garcia; SCC Adult School, Susan Guinasso; Sonora Elementary, Jeff Hansten; Ted Bird Independent Study, Mike Hopper; Soulsbyville, Julie Hulet; Sonora Elementary, Carol Kent; Columbia Elementary, Karen Sells; Don Pedro High, Carol Smith; Curtis Creek, Laurie Sylwester; Columbia College, Cindy Wehmeyer; Summerville Elementary, Dan West; Twain Harte and Audrey Zgraggen; Jamestown.
Barbara Smith of Sonora High and Diana Page of Soulsbyville received the two Career Achievement Awards.
Superintendent of Schools Joe Silva served as the Master of Ceremonies, Black Oak Casino General Manager Ron Patel was the keynote speaker and the Tenaya School Chorus under the direction of Diane Steele with Accompanist Dorothy Arndt opened the evening with a pre-dinner performance.
