Mark Twain Hospital Offers Free Cholesterol Tests
San Andreas, CA — Since heart disease is the number one killer of women over 25, Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital is making it a little easier for women to evaluate their risk.
The hospital is offering all Calaveras County women free lipid panels, which measure good and bad cholesterol and triglycerides. The test will include a risk evaluation for heart disease and stroke.
The tests will be available during April and May at the San Andreas hospital and its medical clinics in Angels Camp, Arnold, Copperopolis and Valley Springs.
The tests are paid for by the Soroptimist International of Calaveras.
Fasting before the test is required. For more information, contact (209) 754-3521.
