Garamendi Visits CHS Friday

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County native and Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi will be stopping by his alma mater Friday to motivate students to work harder.
Garamendi was raised on his family´s ranch near Chili Gulch and graduated from Calaveras High School.
The event takes place at 1:45 p.m. and is an education pep rally to help improve the school´s performance on statewide educational assessments.
Garamendi says rallies don´t always have to be about sports. They can be about good grades too.
