San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County has joined the state to educate residents on the proper handling of toxic trash.
Its call theToo Toxic to Trash,” campaign and its aimed at prompting residents to responsibly discard household hazardous waste.
The Public Works Department now has a brochure for the sites in the county that accept various household toxics.
Responsible handling of toxic trash ensures that contaminants will not leach into drinking water or contaminate wildlife habitat.
