Calaveras Education Office Gets $15 Million

Sponsored by:

Angels Camp, CA — The Calaveras County Office of Education was recently awarded a little more than $15 million dollars for construction of a new school site.

A request for bid proposals was sent out recently and Board of Education officials will select a winning bidder at their meeting April 10. Bobo Construction of Elk Grove is the recommended company to build the new school site for Mountain Oaks School and Mountain Ranch Community School.

It was the State Allocation Board that approved the money for construction at its February meeting.

County Superintendent John Brophy says he´s hopeful construction will start by early summer.
