Groveland, CA — 30 year old Graham Edward Gary of Groveland has been arrested for allegedly striking another man with a hatchet.
Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputy Jeff Gempler spotted Groveland resident Adam Woodruff being helped into the Groveland Fire Station Saturday morning. The man was covered with blood from wounds to his face. Investigation on scene led deputies to Gary´s residence on Ponderosa Ln.
Allegedly Gary struck Woodruff in the face with the hatchet. According to the Sheriff´s Department, it is not yet clear what led up to the attack. Woodruff suffered lacerations to the area of his mouth and an eye. The injuries are not classified as life threatening. Gary was arrested and later released on $30,000 bail. The incident is under investigation.
