Mokelumne Hill, CA — Residents living near the Protestant Cemetery in Mokelumne Hill are asking local authorities to step in and protect their safety.
There have been reports of possible drug related and suspicious activities occurring at the cemetery.
Now, the cemetery district is asking the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors to step in. On the board´s Tuesday agenda is an item requesting that county resources be made available to fix the problem.
The cemetery district says it does not have the ability to investigate or control the illegal activity.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m., Tuesdays at the county Government Center in San Andreas.
