San Andreas Doctor Arrested For Child Abuse

San Andreas, CA — A well-known San Andreas doctor Gary Johnson has been arrested on charges of infliction of corporal punishment on a child.
The 60-year old Johnson runs a family practice on Highway 49 in San Andreas.
Sunday the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department received a call of a fight at Johnson´s home on Willow Creek Road in San Andreas.
Officers discovered the doctor had struck a 13-year old male family member during the fight. Further investigation revealed a history of physical abuse in the home. Johnson had also strangled the boy a few months prior.
Johnson was arrested Thursday and has since posted bail.
