Murphys Club Benefits From Irish Day Silent Auction
Murphys, CA — During Murphys Irish Day a unique silent auction will generate proceeds for the Murphys Community Club.
Murphys Irish Days will be held this Saturday, March 17 in Murphys from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It´s a community gathering featuring an 11 a.m. parade, entertainment and street vendors.
The silent auction will take place in the Native Sons Hall on Main Street with bidding starting at 10 a.m.
More than 90 items are up for sale and some of them are quite rare. For example you can bid on a tour and gourmet dinner in the home of Jane Bottomley, former owner of the Bear Valley Ski Resort with her late husband Jim. The Bottomleys built a dream home, complete with a private lake, in the foothills just outside of Angels Camp near the fairgrounds.
This is the first time the community club has organized the auction with proceeds being shared by the Murphys Business Association.
