Angels Camp, CA — The Bret Harte High School District is working on getting healthy.
The Board of Trustees met Monday and adopted a Student Wellness Plan that will deal with food service, physical activity and instruction to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The plan is required by the state and will be reviewed annually.
Superintendent Michael Chimente says part of the plan calls for the elimination of carbonated sodas by this July. Last year the district eliminated candy and replaced it with healthier choices.
Additionally the district will develop articles regarding health and feature them in a newsletter and on its website.
