Daylight Saving Time Kicks In This Weekend

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Don´t forget, this is the weekend that Daylight Saving Time starts … three weeks earlier than normal.

On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. so now that extra hour of sunlight will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November which happens to be the fourth this year.

The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress who retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study has been completed.

Bottom line; prior to turning in Saturday evening, move your clocks AHEAD one hour. You might also do the same for your computers unless you want to wait a couple of weeks for the automatic changeover. The official time change is 2am, Sunday, March 11.
